Welcome To The Home Of VOOSP Minimize
Welcome to the Visual Objects Open Source Portal !

The Visual Objects Open Source Portal ( VOOSP ) is an initiative, which offers the Visual Objects Community a platform to exchange ideas and technologies, to organize and manage projects,  which will be published under the open source licence (We have to discuss which one...) . We hope it'll be the place in the future where you can find helpful resources for your software development using Visual Objects.

The Community of  Visual Objects Developers has been very tough in the past and there are a lot of talented people around the world who are doing a tremendous job in writing business applications. Visual Objects is an extremely productive tool, when it comes to the task of writing business applications but,  a lot of people have reinvented the wheel several times.
This portal will offer a couple of things in the future :
  1. Exchange and discuss ideas about shared projects
  2. Blogs of well known developers of the Visual Objects Community ( VOC )
  3. Find and contact third party developers and companies
  4. Living Documentation for Visual Objects (Wiki) and other related tools and technologies
  5. A repository for open source projects using CVS
and more to come.

With the upcoming launch of Vulcan.Net in mind, we can see a bunch of new opportunities and will find it very helpful, if people will share their knowledge to help others on their way to .Net .As you can see by the name of the URL, we're committed to that new product and will extend our services to it, as soon as it is ready.

VOOSP is free and you can register yourself by using the option 'register' at the top of the page, to create a user account on VOOSP. The only thing we're asking for is that you complete the form carefully and with real data. After sending the form to VOOSP you'll receive an email with a verification which is needed the first time you log in. Being a registered user gives you free access to almost anything on VOOSP and, what's way more important, it gives you the right to contribute ! If you're not registered you are allowed to read most of the portal, but you're not allowed to contribute or post messages. So please register yourself, we need your contribution !

The VOOSP WebSite is a non profit service. As you can imagine, running your own server with a comfortable bandwith, response times etc. pp. all costs money. Currently the site is financed privately. If you find it worth supporting us and want to become a sponsor, please contact us via eMail.

Have fun !
